WHAT WE DO We service the towns of Bridgewater and West Bridgewater, MA. We provide scholorships to graduating seniors of the two towns we serve; have an annual bicycle rodeo to promote bicycle safety; donate to a camp for children with special needs called Handi-Kids; have a Little League team; charter Boy Scout Pack and Troop 88; donate to the Girl Scouts; donate to the Hugh O'Brien Scholorship program; donate to the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute (KPTI); donate to the local YMCA; give food to the local food bank; donate to Operation Santa; give the "Unsung Hero" award to a deserving girl and boy who participate in the high school athletic program, as well as many other community and individual concerns. FUND RAISERS Major Fund Raisers include the sale of Yankee Candles during the fall. Orders may be taken by club members. There is a Valentine's Day Raffle. In the Spring we have a Pancake Breakfast which is said to be the best around. We also sponsor an annual golf tournment. The price of golf includes a golf, luncheon and prizes. Tees and holes are sponsored by local merchants. Sponsorship includes a round of golf. During the summer we assist traffic control with two triathalons. |
Bridgewater Kiwanis was chartered in 1968. We have a long history of community service.
